Willow Ptarmigan

Willow Ptarmigan are in abundance in Canada’s north.  Flocks will sit on the side of a roads or even congregate in your

backyard  if you have a few trees on the landscape.   The can be very hard to see at times until they move. 

They are quite camouflaged and change color through the seasons.  They are an adorable species and a joy to watch

with a good pair of sunglasses.
