"The Rendezvous"

Red Wing Blackbird

This Red Wing Blackbird pair typifies a scene not too far from our house.  There is no misidentifying the

unique sound of this marsh bird. They nest in the tall reeds by weaving the grass between the stalks of the

bulrushes. They are enjoyable to watch and even more so to paint. 

This is one painting that I have hanging in my own home.
